Trek to 'Nakhind' on 16th June 2013

We at ‘Nisarg Trust’ invite you to trek to 'Nakhind' on 16^th June, 2013.

Information about Nakhind:-

Height: 2326 ft
Grade: Medium
Time: ~ 3 hrs from Vangani Station
Location: Nakhind is situated between Chanderi and Peb forts to be precise. (To the east of Chanderi fort and North of Peb fort.)

The top is a narrow forested ridge, running in the North-South direction.

Nakhind has a natural rock peak with a needle hole in it. It is formed by natural erosion.

Itinerary:-

Sunday: 16^th June, 2013
Meeting point : Vangani Railway Station

The Karjat local train timings are given as below: -

CST: 05:18 AM
Dadar: 05:36
Kurla: 05:47
Ghatkopar: 05:53
Thane: 06:14
Dombivali: 06:36
Kalyan: 06:46

Badlapur: 7:06
Vangani: 07:16

Please do carry your return tickets.

7:30 Hrs: Move to Nakhind base by rickshaw.
9:00 Hrs: At Nakhind base.

Breakfast at the base.

9:30 Hrs: Trek starts.

12:00 Hrs: In the needle hole of Nakhind.

Exploration, Lunch & Rest time till 14:00 Hrs

14:00 Hrs: Descend from Nakhind
17:00 Hrs: At Vangani station

Return Journey to Mumbai by 17:18 hrs fast train.

We will be back in Mumbai around 20:00 Hrs (Tentatively)

The Estimated expenditure is about Rs. 150 / -
This includes rickshaw fare, breakfast and tea.

Things To Carry: -

Please do carry lunch for the day
A Water Bottle (~3 litres a must)
Camera, Cell Phone (Optional)
Plz avoid wearing Gold and other ornaments.
Some ready to eat food. Plum cakes, Biscuits etc.
Medicine those if u require usually (Optional)
Personal basic medical kit (Containing an antiseptic, few bandages, personal medications if any, Antibiotics for stomach infection)
A haversack to put all these things
